Kate was feeling lost and confused, two
emotions she wasn’t used to feeling.
She grabbed her backpack and treaded away from everyone else.
“Some alone time is exactly what I need.” She said to herself.
After walking for seemed to be half an hour, she decided to stop and stay
there for the night.
She sat down on the sand, pulled her backpack under her head and her
thoughts drifted to the past.
“Baby come sit beside me.” Brian Kenmore mouthed as he patted the
empty seat
on the couch beside him.
“Okay, but just for a minute or we’ll be late for the movies.”
Kate sat beside him and put her hands in her lap. Brian raised his hands
above his head, wrapped his arm around her shoulder, and turned her to
face
him.
“I can’t wait anymore.” He growled in a husky voice.
“Brian, I’m not ready, I told you that.” She tried to pull away but
his grip
tightened.
“I don’t care what you want...I need this...now.” He slipped his
hand down
the back of her shirt.
“Brian, please stop.” Kate struggled and finally got on her feet.
“If you won’t give it to me, I’ll simply take it.” Brian pushed
her in the
chest and she fell to the floor. Brian climbed on top of her and pinned
her
arms down with his right arm.
“Stop!”
“Shut the hell up!” He yelled as he slapped her. Tears began flowing
down
her cheeks and she sobbed. With his free hand he managed to pull her skirt
down below her knees, and then she was naked and shuddering.
“Please Brian, this isn’t like you.”
He put his hand over her mouth and devoured her unwillingly. After
getting
what he wanted he smiled, and stood.
“Quit your crying, you weren’t even that good.” He laughed.
Gathering what little composure she had left she pulled her skirt up to
cover her partial nudity.
“And if you even mention this to anyone, I’ll kill you. And I mean
that with
every fiber of my being.” He turned and began walking away.
“You won’t get away with this.”
Stopping dead in his tracks, he laughed, and pivoted back around. He
nearly
dove to the spot on the floor where she sat.
“You shouldn’t have pissed me off.” Brian grabbed her by the throat
and
began clinching a fist.
“Whenever I want sex, I’ll come over here, and I’ll get it without a
struggle next time. Am I right?”
Kate looked blankly back at him.
“Answer me dammit or you’ll wish you had.”
“Right.” Kate breathed and began sobbing even harder.
“That’s what I thought.” He released her neck and pushed her head
back
forcefully. He stood and picked up his coat. Kate looked around
frantically
for something to hit him with. She quietly picked up a glass paperweight
that was sitting beside her. She stood and walked up behind him, striking
him with all her force directly onto his skull.
Kate opened her eyes and let the cooling mist soothe her tired bones.
“Jack is right, I should be able to start over.” After saying his
name, she
placed two fingers to her lips as if trying to capture the very essence of
him.
“Ah come on, don’t tell me even after we made out he’s still on your
mind?”
Sawyer questioned.
Startled, she jumped and stood up to see Sawyer leaning against a tree
smiling crookedly at her.
“What are you doing here?”
“Why, following you of course.”
“And we didn’t make out!” Anger filled every inch of her body.
“Whatever you say freckles. All I know is that your tongue left my mouth
gasping for air. Made me wonder what else your tongue could do.” He
chuckled, folded his arms across his chest, and gave her a cocky smile.
“Leave me alone Sawyer, I came out here to be alone. Go pester someone
else.”
“Who else better than you?”
“Sawyer, I..”
Sawyer cut her off by saying, “Want you?” Why you shoulda said so
instead of
playing hide and go seek.” Sawyer pulled her to him, engulfing her tiny
body
with his masculine frame. He smothered her lips with his. Kate stepped
backwards and stumbled over her back pack causing her and Sawyer to fall
down, leaving him on top of her.
“Now this is what I’m talking about.”
De JA' vu struck over Kate’s body like cold ice.
Sawyer already had her pants unbuttoned and pulled to her ankles, when
Kate
finally snapped back into reality.
With Sawyer’s tongue nearly choking her, she clawed at his face,
scratching
him under his left eye.
He retorted back by digging his nails into her right cheek.
Kate began flailing, she refused to give up without a fight. She pulled up
her knee with all remaining strength and pushed at his manhood with all
her
might.
Sawyer let out a painful groan and released her. She grabbed her backpack
and began running for shelter...for Jack.
Kate, gasping for air, dared not to stop for fear he’d catch up to her.
After what seemed like an eternity, she finally reached the cave. Everyone
was asleep, but she didn’t care, she began yelling, “Jack!”
Jack quickly woke, sitting up right and mouthed, “Kate?”
“Jack, where are you?”
This time he knew it was her. He stood up, turning around until he finally
saw her. She was running towards him, crying, and without pants on.
Without
coming to a stop she ran into him with all her body weight and wrapped her
arms around his neck.
Jack pulled his arms around her waist to feel her violently shaking. This
was the first time he’d seen her so vulnerable. He pulled back slightly
and
saw claw marks on her cheek. He impulsively traced the outlines of them
softly with his fingers.
“What happened, who did this to you?”
After a few seconds of trying to regain her breath, she spoke.
“Sawyer...he tried to...rape me.” Tears started to fall again. “I
took a
walk, and he followed me. Oh Jack.”
He pulled her into his arms trying to comfort her while he tried to calm
his
rage towards Sawyer.
“Kate, I...” Kate put a finger to his lips.
“I need to tell you what I did, what happened in my past.”
Jack looked confused. “What, now?”
“It ties in together.”
Kate told him all about Brian. Filled him in on how wealthy he was, and
how
his family accused her of killing him to get money. And finally she told
him
about everything Sawyer had said and done, and tried to do.
Jack took Kate’s hand and led her to a secluded part of the cave away
from
everyone else, and they sat side by side on the soft grass.
Jack, still holding her hand, spoke, “I’m so sorry, sorry about all
this. I
don’t see how anyone could every hurt you, “then his face turned
stern,”And
when I see Sawyer I’m going to make him pay.” Jack started to stand,
but
Kate gently pulled him down beside her.
“Please, let him go for tonight. You can tell Sayid tomorrow, and
he’ll fix
it. Just, stay with me tonight.”
Her face finally softened and she flashed him a shy smile. He took her
hand
in his once more.
“Okay, whatever you ask, you'll get." Jack reached up with his free
hand to
push a stray hair behind Kate's ear. "I’m going to tell you this
now, while
I still have the nerve.”
“What is it?” Kate questioned, as she turned to face him.
“From the first time I looked up and saw you standing there, I feel for
you.
Something inside told me that you were the one. I tried to hide it, but I
guess some things are inevitable to happen.”
“Oh Jack, I fell for you too.”
Jack pulled her close to him, and looked deeply into her soft eyes. His
mouth centered on her lips and all the questions and pain disappeared.
Within minutes their desires turned into need and they began taking off
their clothes.
Jack gently pushed her backward onto the grass. She wrapped her arms
around
his neck and pulled him down with her. When the weight of his sweaty body
pressed her deeply into the coolness of the grass, she moaned, wanting him
inside her just as deep.
Without foreplay, he parted her legs with his knee and slid inside. Wave
after wave of ecstasy rolled through them, and after a few minutes they
rode
the climax all the way down. He slowly slid off of her and she rolled onto
her side to face him. This man she knew so little about, but loved with
all
of her heart had just made her complete.
“I love you, Kate. I’ve loved you since day one.”
Kate smiled softly, “Oh, God, I love you too. I love you more than
I’ve ever
loved anyone. Promise me you will always love me, and never leave me, no
matter what?” Kate asked.
“I’ll always love you, and you’ll never be alone again.” He said
reassuringly meaning every word.
They lay there holding each other, feeling more comfort there then they
had
felt before. Then they knew that even though they were lost in the world,
they’d always be found in each other’s arms.
The end..
